Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with these ALDI Go’Braugh Cupcakes, our spin on the classic Irish dessert that’s as indulgent as it is festive!

What sets this recipe apart is the addition of orange juice, pineapple juice and crushed pineapple to the batter. This combination creates a sweet and zesty depth of flavor, transforming ordinary cake mix into delicious pineapple-infused golden cupcakes. Topped with creamy vanilla frosting, it’s an irresistible blend of bright citrus and rich sweetness.

Each golden cupcake is moist and flavorful, finished with a smooth vanilla frosting and a sprinkle of coconut flakes for a light, satisfying crunch in every bite.

Bake these up in under forty minutes and let these ALDI Go’Braugh bring luck and sweetness to your St. Patrick’s Day celebration!

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Line a muffin tin with paper cupcake liners.
  3. Drain pineapple juice into a medium bowl. Add cake mix, oil and eggs. Mix for 3 minutes, stir in orange zest.
  4. In a medium bowl, toss drained crushed pineapple with 10 drops of green food coloring and fold into cake batter.
  5. Fill muffin tins halfway and bake for 16-18 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting.
  6. In a medium bowl, cream together orange juice, butter, vanilla, shortening and sugar.
  7. Divide frosting into two separate bowls. Add 10 drops of green food coloring to one bowl and mix together to create green frosting.
  8. In a piping bag, fill one side with white and one side with green to create a swirl effect.
  9. Pipe onto cooled cupcakes in an upward swirl motion.
  10. Mix coconut flakes with water and 10 drops of food coloring; sprinkle over frosted cupcakes.
