Mulled Wine

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Baker's Corner Sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 750 mL Winking Owl Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 1 orange, cut into wedges
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 3 whole cinnamon sticks
  • 3/4 tsp. Stonemill Essentials Ground Ginger*
  • 1/4 tsp. Stonemill Essentials Pure Vanilla

Directions:

  1. Combine sugar and water in a saucepan, bring to a boil. Boil until sugar is dissolved. Reserve.
  2. Place the remaining ingredients in a separate saucepan, warm over low heat for 30 minutes to infuse the spices. Do not boil.
  3. Add the sugar water and stir. Cool for 5 minutes, and strain mixture.
  4. Garnish each glass with fresh citrus slices and a cinnamon stick.
