Shopping Smarter
Savings by the aisles at ALDI

Saving by design.

Absolutely everything that has to do with your ALDI shopping experience has been carefully considered, then streamlined to reflect big savings on your grocery receipt. Location, building size, aisles, lighting, signage, everything. When you cross the threshold, you'll quickly realize that smaller stores make ALDI a more intimate shopping experience. Veteran ALDI shoppers have told us they like the recognition they get from "their" ALDI, the fact that items are easier to find, and that the atmosphere is more personable compared with the warehouse feel of supermarkets and super centers. You'll find it easy to navigate only four or five wide, short aisles, a layout that saves on energy, rent and your time.

Smarter shoppers know the wide aisles and big price signs at ALDI make shopping easy, while the select assortment and self-displaying cartons cut costs—and prices. You'll never see prices driven up by shelf space leased to manufacturers. We don’t need more space, because we only sell about 1,400 of the fastest-moving items. And because we buy in large volume quantities, we get them at lower prices—and pass the savings on to you.

Another thing you’ll notice is that most of our canned and dry food isn’t on shelves. We have our suppliers package them in self-displaying cases, stacked and delivered to us on labor-saving pallets. And large, readable price signs above each item mean no searching for tiny shelf stickers! But don’t limit your ALDI shopping to canned and dry foods. About 40% of our space is devoted to fresh, refrigerated, and frozen foods—with doors or lids on our freezer cases to cut energy costs. Many stores also have wine and beer. You’ll find you can do up to 90% of your everyday shopping here.

The ALDI community of smarter shoppers welcomes you. After your first trip, you’ll know what you need, know where to find it, get in, get out, and get on with your busy life, knowing you're saving a bundle doing it. And if that isn’t smarter shopping, we don’t know what is.
